Welcome to the Happy Monkey King Summer Camp, operated by and at The Han Studio in downtown Charlottesville, VA.

 

This year we offer:

  • three-week Chinese language immersion camps for kids age 5-8 and 9-12
  • three-week Chinese language intensive programs for teens age 13-15

 

Both camps and programs will be conducted on a bilingual basis and gradually shifted to use the Chinese language primarily.  

 

Our campers could be with no or little prior experience in the Chinese language and culture.

 

Group activities, crafts, Chinese songs and folk tales constitute a major part of our camp time for kids under 12, while the intensive programs focus on helping lay a solid foundation for teens 13-15 in conversing, writing and reading the Chinese language through highlights on its culture.  

 

We aim to provide a fun, enriching environment for children of all ages to explore the charm of another world language and culture and look forward to having your children join us!
